Be part of the change

We would love as many villagers as possible to join us!

To become a Full Individual Member,       you need to have a demonstrable       connection to the area, for example. . .

Not a villager? You can become a General
Member without being connected to the villages.

  • living in the RACLT area for the previous 12 months
  • working full time in the RACLT area for the previous 12 months
  • having a significant family tie in the RACLT area
    (as accepted by the Board)

Members receive:

  • A say in how the CLT is run and its priorities
  • A vote on who is elected to the Board – any member can be nominated as a Board member
  • The knowledge that they ‘own’ part of their community

How it works

Simply fill out the membership form. One of us will check it and confirm your membership. To join the CLT, you buy a minimum of £5 worth of shares. This is a one-off joining payment. Every member then pays an annual membership fee of £5.

There are also group, business and organisation membership options. Contact us for more information.

Click the button below to download and print off the membership form. Once you’ve filled it out please add your cheque made payable to Ringmer Area CLT for £10 pounds (or more for more shares) and post to:

Ringmer Area CLT,  c/o Shelleys, 60 Springett Avenue, Ringmer, East Sussex, BN8 5QX.

‘I’m a single parent, renting in Ringmer. We love living here. It’s a brilliant place to raise my boys. But even with our rent at the lower end of the scale, the cost is still astronomical. It’s always a struggle to pay the rent. I have joined the CLT to try and help the village remain an affordable option for us, with all the resources people need. I love the ethos of working together to create positive change.’

Get Involved!

There are lots of ways of getting involved with the CLT beyond becoming a member. We always need people to help spread the word about our work and projects, to help us with events and in more specialist areas such as design, fundraising and publicity. Get in touch if you’d like to help!
